Hansen's Reviews: Clarks Pace, Put to the Test 👟

"How I Ended Up Retiring My Air Forces for the Clarks Pace"

Written by: Mo, Verified Hansen’s Customer from California

I work long warehouse shifts and I’m on my feet pretty much all day. By the time I get home, my legs and feet are dead. Every evening, I walk through the front door and immediately kick off my old, beat-up Nike Air Force 1s. I’ve worn those things for years — they’ve been through everything with me.

One day, my roommate looked at my sneakers and told me she couldn’t stand to see them anymore. She said she had something better in mind — a pair that was actually comfortable, durable, and made to handle long shifts. That’s when she handed me the Clarks Pace to try.

To be honest, I was skeptical. I’ve only ever worn Nike my whole life. But I figured I’d give them a shot because my feet could use the help.

First Impressions

Right out of the box, I could tell these weren’t your typical “work shoes.” They looked clean and simple enough to wear with anything, but still had style. The woven knit fabric upper was soft, and I liked that they didn’t have that bulky, orthopedic look that most “comfortable” shoes have. I even caught myself thinking they looked good enough to wear outside of work, which is saying a lot for me.

Comfort on the Job

After wearing them for a few shifts, I was honestly impressed. Usually, by the halfway point of my day, my feet and lower back are screaming for relief. But in the Clarks Pace, it was a completely different story. The cushioning actually supported my arches and absorbed all that impact from walking and lifting on concrete floors all day.

The best part? There was zero break-in period. No stiffness, no blisters — just straight comfort from day one.

Fit & Feel

I wear a size 10.5, and they fit true to size. They’re snug and supportive, but still roomy enough in the toe box. They’re also really breathable, which is clutch because warehouse floors get hot fast. My feet didn’t feel trapped or heavy, and by the end of the day, I didn’t have that usual sore, tired feeling.

Beyond Work

Here’s the part I didn’t expect: I started wearing them on my days off too. I’ll throw them on with jeans or joggers when I’m grabbing food or running errands. They’ve basically replaced my Air Forces — which says a lot, because those used to be my ride-or-die shoes.

The Clarks Pace just does it all. They’re supportive, comfortable, and easy to style, which makes them perfect for work and everyday wear.

Final Thoughts

After wearing them for a month straight, I can honestly say they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned — both for work and day-to-day life. Between the support, breathability, and simple design, they check every box.

I’ve been loyal to Nike my whole life, but this experience reminded me that comfort always wins over brand names. Once you find a shoe that actually supports you and feels good all day, it’s hard to go back. The Clarks Pace proved that performance and comfort can beat even the biggest name in sneakers.

If you’re on your feet all day or work long shifts like I do, these are the kind of shoes that actually make a difference. Good shoes don’t just look good — they keep you moving, feeling good, and supported no matter what your day throws at you.
