We were lucky enough to host one of our valued customers, Heidi, at our Valley Fair location. Heidi is a longtime customer at our Oakridge location, but this was her first time visiting Valley Fair, and we were thrilled that it was such a success. Heidi had the store all to herself for an hour before opening – “what’s not to love about that?” she said of the experience – and got to try on a little bit of everything from a few of our favorite brands and styles. Here's what Heidi tried:

As an avid traveler, Heidi is eager to find shoes that suit her on-the-go lifestyle. She tried on a pair of Hokas “to test the hype”, and she understood why they’re on the top of everyone’s list. She also had been eyeing a pair of elevated Birkenstocks on the Hansen’s website, and took the opportunity to check them out in-person. Heidi’s selection ran the spectrum, from the dressy turquoise booties to a cozy pair of UGG slip-on sandals. She tested out the Josef Seibel Claire 01 in white, which got a rave review – Heidi noted that they’re not too chunky so they’re appropriate to dress up or down, and they’re great for travel and walking through the quaint cobblestone roads of Europe.

After all of her testing, however, it was clear that Heidi and the Aetrex Sydney sandals in Ivory were the real match made in heaven. Heidi described the childlike excitement she felt when she put them on, even going so far as to wear them out of the store! 

After Heidi had her purchases in hand - or, more accurately, on her feet - we asked about her favorite parts of the experience - "Honestly, I think it was really just the interaction with the team. They really made the difference."
 
Heidi praised our knowledgeable team and their insights into style, comfort and durability, ensuring that her shoes could carry her through her travels with ease. Heidi cares about the enhancements available, like arch support and stability, and Hansen’s is chock full of shoe options with almost every combination of enhancements you can think up.

She also praised that she was able to find a place with excellent customer service – she said her interactions with the team were her favorite part, noting that it was a superior experience to shopping online.

One of the best parts of the day was finding out that our store manager guessed, almost as soon as Heidi walked through the doors, that those would be her favorite pair.

We’re proudly family-owned, and Heidi said that with that and its proximity to her home, Hansen’s feels like a staple in the community – our massive selection of shoes is just an added bonus.
